The Millwood Wagner Community Garden is an organic garden located behind the W. P. Wagner High School at 6310 Wagner Road.
In ground plots: 22
Size of plots: roughly 15 by 20 feet (also a communal plot shared by all for perennials)
Plot fees: $25 for the annual plot rental with a $10 first time deposit refundable when you leave your garden in good shape. There is also a $3 refundable-on-return deposit for our tool shed key if you wish to share the garden’s assortment of tools.
Water is available in any of our four rain barrels or from the hose attached to the schools green house. A turn-key to turn the water on and off is available for a $10 refundable-on-return water key. Meetings are the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 for a short business meeting followed by a general work bee to help gardeners complete their required one hour a month of community service. Members are required to join one of several committees for garden maintenance. We try to have two pot luck lunches per season at these meetings. We are currently full, but we have a wait list in case of drop-outs or for next gardening year. Please contact Kate Jenkins if you want further information or to be placed on our waitlist.
