Sustainable Food Edmonton is committed to offering programs and projects that offer rich experiential opportunities for children, youth, and adults to learn about urban agriculture.

Imagine indoor gardens in classrooms where children work together to grow vegetables; develop responsibility and cooperation; and learn the connections between the seeds they plant and the salad they get to eat!
 

Urban Ag High is a program that aims to build a community of practice around urban agricultural projects in Edmonton; connecting educators, resources, and skills in order to provide experiential learning opportunities for junior and senior high school students.

We are here to help communities start gardens, provide grants, keep them going, and link individuals with existing community gardens throughout the over 90 sites operating in the Capital region - many throughout neighbourhoods in Edmonton.
